On Friday, Hoover lost to Orosi on the road by a decisive 42-26 margin. Hoover has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Hoover lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryant Bell. Despite the final result, he picked up 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Bell's longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards. Justice Bell got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Andrew Camarillo got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 314 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.
Hoover has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Orosi, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.
Hoover does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Orosi will head out on the road to face off against Morro Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Morro Bay is ranked 581st, while Orosi is ranked 574th).
