Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead ALA - Gilbert North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben Livingston, who threw for 216 yards and four TDs while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 45 yards and one score. Those 45 rushing yards gave Livingston a new career-high. Isaac Massey was in the mix too, providing ALA - Gilbert North with three touchdowns.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something ALA - Gilbert North proved: they limited Campo Verde to a paltry three yards per carry. The team can thank Stockton Dye for the heroic effort on defense: he. ALA - Gilbert North didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.1.
ALA - Gilbert North's defense didn't let Jonah Lubno, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Gaven McKinney was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Another thorn in Campo Verde's side was Dye, who forced one fumble, made 11 total tackles, and defended two passes.
When it comes to explaining why Campo Verde lost, don't look at Wyatt Rauch. Despite the final result, he picked up 38 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
ALA - Gilbert North pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.5 points over those games. As for Campo Verde, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
