On Friday, The Dothan Wolves faced the Opelika Bulldogs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Dothan managed a 38-34 victory over Opelika. The win made it back-to-back wins for Dothan.
Leading Dothan to victory were Aj Alexander and Tamarion Peterson. Alexander rushed for 247 yards while picking up 14.5 yards per carry, while Peterson rushed for 147 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
Dothan is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Opelika, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
Dothan will look to defend their home field on Friday against JAG at 7:00 p.m. JAG comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Opelika does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
