West Warwick Gets a Boost from Branch in 30-22 Defeat
Starting off the list is West Warwick's James Branch, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Branch rushed for 181 yards and a touchdown. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble, made six total tackles, and defended a pass.
For the year, Branch has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 150.2 rushing yards per game.

While South Kingstown might've come up empty on Thursday, Dante Peno wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Peno as he rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns.
South Kingstown moved to 4-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. Peno and South Kingstown are on the road again on Friday to play East Providence at 6:00 p.m.

Ariel Medina Makes It Two for Woonsocket
The second Woonsocket player making an appearance here is Ariel Medina, and for good reason. He rushed for 81 yards on only 11 carries, and also picked up 55 receiving yards. His longest reception was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.
For the season, Medina has averaged 20.4 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after five games last season, he was only averaging 6.6 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 84.6 rushing yards.
