Mission Viejo was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in South Coast. Earlier in the week, the Diablos triumphed over Don Bosco Prep 28-25.
San Clemente fell to Dana Hills 38-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sam Darnold threw for 116 yards and ran for 64 yards in the loss.
Trey Tinsley and Marcus Desantis gave El Toro a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Tinsley threw for 230 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Desantis ran for 81 yards. Teammate Brendan Lane added to the ground attack by rushing for 60 yards.
Tinsley and Desantis gave the Chargers a balanced attack through the air and ground last week.
Desantis was the most successful running back in the league this week.
Tinsley put up the best numbers through the air as El Toro lost to Corona del Mar. Tinsley's favorite target this week was Dominic Collins, who caught 8 passes for 89 yards.
He went 19-36 with 1 interceptions.
Jacob Breeland was the best wideout in the league this week as Trabuco Hills defeated Fountain Valley. Breeland tallied 6 receptions for 128 yards. Michael Newsom helped Trabuco Hills' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 27 yards.
Robert Frith's team's Tinsley and Collins have formed a dream team this season, leading South Coast in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Tinsley has thrown for 851 yards this season, while Collins has 26 catches for 352 yards. San Clemente's Darnold leads the league in rushing yards with 322.
Mission Viejo led the league in scoring this week after putting up 28 points on the Ironmen.
