PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. -
Port Townsend (Wash.) put up 18 points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 38-6 victory over Life Christian Academy (Tacoma, Wash.).
After taking the lead on a
Matt Cain touchdown run in the first quarter, the Redskins led 20-6 at the half.
Tim Russell and Cain ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Eagles. Russell scored two touchdowns on the ground and Cain added two as well.
Life Christian Academy's only touchdown came on a 26-yard pass from Taylor Roelofs to Sam Absten in the second quarter.
Port Townsend came in allowing an average of 19.0 points per game this season. The defense really stepped up, holding Life Christian Academy well below its season average of 21.3 points scored per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 30-14 win for the Redskins.
The win brought Port Townsend's winning streak to three games.
