North Cross has struggled against the Mavericks recently, as their match on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
North Cross' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Antonio Mack, who scored 14 points. That was a full 41.2% of North Cross' points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tristan Lange, who scored seven points.
Miller School of Albemarle's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reece Hagy, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Crotty, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds.
North Cross dropped their record down to 9-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Miller School of Albemarle, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.
