Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Madison). They snuck past the Mitchell Mountaineers with a 74-69 victory on Tuesday. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 67-57 loss the last time these two teams met.

Madison's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4. As for Mitchell, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Madison will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Rosman at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Mitchell, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-58 victory against Ashe County on the 19th.
