It was a good run, but The Secaucus Patriots unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 28-27 to Roselle Park. Secaucus lost against Roselle Park in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 29-21 score last time.
Secaucus' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Noah Santos, who rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 67 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Goldsack, who threw for 291 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt.
Secaucus' loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Roselle Park, their win bumped their record up to 5-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Secaucus will take on Whippany Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Whippany Park is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Roselle Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Keansburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Keansburg is ranked 296th, while Roselle Park is ranked 286th).
