If the Luverne Tigers were feeling good off their 61-37 takedown of the Goshen Eagles last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Luverne took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Luverne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Panthers are ranked 54th).
Luverne's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Georgiana, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.
Luverne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Georgiana also has no future games currently scheduled.
