Montesano is a perfect 10-0 against Forks since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. Montesano is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Montesano's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Tenino. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Montesano got a great performance from Violet Prince as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Prince has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grace Gooding was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Addison Potts was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Montesano kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Forks came up short against North Beach on Tuesday, falling 21-8.
Kailyn Crowder was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Crowder was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That hit was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Adera Thiel was cooking despite her team's loss, earning one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Sara Sifuentes, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Montesano's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1. As for Forks, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Montesano hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Forks struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Montesano took their win against Forks in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 16-4 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
