The Plymouth Wildcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Novi Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Friday, Plymouth was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-47 to Lake Orion. While losing is never fun, Plymouth can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while Lake Orion is ranked 184th).
Meanwhile, it was close, but Novi ultimately received the gift of a 52-49 victory from a begrudging Wildcatssquad.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Novi to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase LeFevre, who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that LeFevre scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Boden Fernsler, who scored 12 points.
Plymouth now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Novi, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.
Plymouth suffered a grim 53-33 defeat to Novi when the teams last played back in February. Will Plymouth have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
