They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Mount Calvary Christian Warriors  3-2. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
 Greater Vision Academy was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (116-93), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 8-25, 30-28, 25-23,  17-15.
Greater Vision Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Mount Calvary Christian,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-8.
 Looking ahead, Greater Vision Academy will take on Oak Level Baptist Academy at 2:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Woodland Baptist Christian at 5:00  p.m.  on  the 30th.
