The Beaver Dam Diamondback's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 74-33 loss at the hands of Wayne. Beaver Dam was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-15.
Leading Wayne to victory were Blake Peterson and Ryker Peterson . Peterson dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Peterson scored 23 points along with six assists and four steals. That's the first time this season that Peterson pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Batty, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Beaver Dam's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Wayne, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beaver Dam and Panguitch will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Panguitch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. Wayne and Piute will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Piute's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
