The Lamar Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Meridian HomeSchool FLYERS at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meridian HomeSchool took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Lamar, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Lamar strolled past Park Place Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 57-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lamar.
Lamar's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Hart led the charge by dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Hart's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Huggins, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Meridian HomeSchool, who are still winless after their fourth game. They had to suffer through a rough 62-30 loss at the hands of Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool. Meridian HomeSchool was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-10.
Lamar's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Meridian HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
