The Scotia-Glenville Tartans can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They claimed a resounding 71-11 victory over Johnstown on the road. Given Scotia-Glenville's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Sir Bills are ranked 601st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Scotia-Glenville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karaline Mccarthy, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. Another player making a difference was Jess Bodden, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Scotia-Glenville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Johnstown, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scotia-Glenville will face off against the Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Johnstown, they will head out on the road to challenge the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
