The Sierra Stallions came into Tuesday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 34-30 W over Sand Creek on Tuesday. The victory was just what Sierra needed coming off of a 61-22 loss in their prior contest.
Marisa Reyes was a one-man wrecking crew for Sierra as she scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Another player making a difference was Patritia Hobson, who scored seven points along with eight steals.
Sierra's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Sand Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-18.
Sierra will be playing at home against Elizabeth at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Sierra focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 37 on Tuesday. As for Sand Creek, they will head out on the road to square off against Falcon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sand Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while Falcon is ranked 143rd).
