The Northwestern Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Indian Lake on the road and fell 81-40. Northwestern has struggled against Indian Lake recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Shaffer, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Ross Fultz, who scored eight points.
Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Indian Lake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwestern will be home for the holidays to greet Graham Local at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Indian Lake won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Anna at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Anna will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while Indian Lake is ranked 41st).
