After a disappointing 0 points in the contest before, Quabbin Regional made sure to put some points up on the board against Gardner last Friday. Quabbin Regional took the match and then some with a 48-0 win over Gardner. The success represented a nice turnaround for Quabbin Regional, who in their last game suffered a tough 0-44 defeat.
Meanwhile, it was a close one, but Clinton sidestepped Hudson for a 13-10 victory. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-2. The Quabbin Regional defense got after the quarterback against Gardner to the tune of seven sacks, so Clinton's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the game.
