Lincoln was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Smithton on Wednesday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Tigers. Considering the Cardinals have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Smithton, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Lincoln will venture away from home to face off against Cole Camp at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals are facing the Blue Birds at the right time seeing as the Blue Birds are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Smithton, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Northwest at 5:00 p.m.
