Baseball Recap: Marin Catholic Comes Up Short

Marin Catholic lost against Redwood last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Giants, falling 9-2. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly seven runs.

Marin Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnny Greco, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI was Greco's first of the season.

Marin Catholic has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Redwood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5-1.

Marin Catholic will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on San Rafael at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Redwood, they will take on Heritage in a tournament on Thursday.
