3A Region 2 recap October 8, 2013
Harding Academy extended the longest winning streak in 3A Region 2 this week by beating Rose Bud, 42-7. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Wildcats.
Mayflower took down Bald Knob 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Episcopal's William Pollock and Allie Freeman have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pollock has thrown for 1,044 yards this season, while Freeman has 43 catches for 656 yards. The Eagles' Justin Bailey leads the league in rushing yards with 289.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Mayflower takes on Riverview. As it stands, Jed Davis' team is in third, while the Raiders are in fifth.
The league will see a high scoring game when the Eagles and Riverview face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Mayflower comes in having scored 114 this season, while Mike mcCain's team has scored 118. The Eagles scored 54 points last week as they bested the Bulldogs.
Mayflower led 3A Region 2 in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on Bald Knob.
