On Wednesday, Northeastern was able to grind out a solid win over Wapahani, taking the game 47-38.
Northeastern got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cami Angi out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ava Mikesell, who scored 13 points.
Northeastern is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Wapahani, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.
Northeastern has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome East Central at 8:00 p.m. on December 27th. Wapahani won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Winchester Community at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th. Winchester Community is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
