Baseball Recap: Lakeway Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Maryville

Maryville typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Lakeway Christian Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Red Rebels with a sharp 16-4 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Hudson Ford was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Jack Vineyard was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Lakeway Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maryville only posted an OBP of .375.

Lakeway Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Maryville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeway Christian Academy will challenge Providence Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
