On Thursday, The McKinney Lions faced the Prosper Eagles in a battle between two of the state's top teams. McKinney fell 24-12 to Prosper. Having soared to a lofty 37 points in the game before, McKinney couldn't push the score so high this time.
Despite the loss, McKinney still got an impressive performance from Khristian Mackintrus, who picked up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
McKinney's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Prosper, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
McKinney will square off against Barbers Hill at TBD on Thursday. Barbers Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully McKinney likes a good challenge. As for Prosper, they will square off against Plano East at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Plano East is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
