Garden Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 80-41 win over the Council Lumberjacks. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Garden Valley to victory were Trevor Corn and Cody Perrin. Corn shot 67% from the field on his way to 18 points along with eight boards and four steals, while Perrin went 8-for-13 to rack up 21 points. The dominant performance also gave Perrin a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (63%). Another player making a difference was Madix Miller, who posted nine points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds.

Garden Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Garden Valley's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Council, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.
