Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Avalon Black Knights at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
On Thursday, Friendship Collegiate Academy faced Friendship Tech Prep Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Friendship Collegiate Academy was outmatched by Friendship Tech Prep Academy on the road and fell 68-23. The low total for Friendship Collegiate Academy ended their streak of high-flying scores.
Meanwhile, Avalon's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against St. Albans, falling 97-47. While losing is never fun, Avalon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 221st in Maryland, while St. Albans is ranked 40th in District of Columbia).
Friendship Collegiate Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Avalon, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
