Blue Springs's Dalvin Warmack recorded the longest rushing play in Suburban - Gold this season in his game against Blue Springs South last week. Warmack scampered for 82 yards on the play and finished with 163 on the day as his team beat the Jaguars.
Liberty took down Park Hill 38-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Blue Springs' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Wylson Lamb threw for 132 and one touchdown and Darrius Shepherd had 122 yards receiving. Warmack helped Blue Springs' passing attack out by catching two balls for seven yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Dalton Brewer of Blue Springs South is the league leader in passing yards this season with 858. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. On the ground, Kelly Donohoe's team's Warmack has rushed for 990 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Shepherd. The Blue Springs star has 21 catches for 376 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Wildcats and Raymore-Peculiar. Blue Springs enters the game ranked second in the state, while the Panthers ranks 12th.
Warmack of the the Wildcats is only 10 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
The Bluejays made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,052 from 1,216. The improvement was the result of 38-0 victory over the Trojans last week.
