The Overhills Jaguars came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Pine Forest by a score of 49-37. That's another feather in the cap for Overhills, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Eva Mcrae, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Sadyia Davis was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds.
Overhills is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Pine Forest, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overhills will square off against Terry Sanford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
