The Preble Shawnee Arrows stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against Twin Valley South as Preble Shawnee made off with a 59-37 victory. Given Preble Shawnee's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Twin Valley South is ranked 747th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Twin Valley South lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jace Thuma, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. Jandon Ankrom was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Preble Shawnee's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.4 points. As for Twin Valley South, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Preble Shawnee's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bishop Fenwick at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Bishop Fenwick is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Twin Valley South, they will head out on the road to take on Arcanum at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Arcanum focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
