Ja'marion Garrett Drops League-Best Performance on Friday
Starting off the list is Dunbar's Ja'Marion Garrett, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Garrett rushed for 193 yards and five touchdowns on only six carries.
This year, Garrett has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 165 rushing yards per game.

Groeneweg Came Up Big in Glen Rose's 56-6 Win
Josiah Groeneweg was a major factor in Glen Rose's victory over Hillsboro on Friday. Groeneweg turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 202 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also catching a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 61 yards.
Groeneweg is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Venus on Friday. When Groeneweg last faced the Bulldogs back in October of 2023, he picked up 212 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Canyon Evans Makes It Two for Glen Rose
Keeping Groeneweg company is Canyon Evans, a fellow Glen Rose player. He threw for 231 yards and five touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played.
Evans might have his next game, a home matchup with Venus, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Evans saw the Bulldogs), he threw for 379 yards and six touchdowns on only 19 passes.

Brennan Barton Delivers Electric Performance Vs Godley
Brennan Barton was instrumental in extending Benbrook's winning streak to seven on Friday. Godley had no answer to Barton as he threw for 211 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 59 yards. The dominant performance gave Barton a new career-high in rushing yards.
Godley had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Barton it was a similar story. Barton threw for 254 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt the last time he and the Wildcats duked it out back in November of 2023.
