The Tri-City Christian Eagles will challenge the El Camino Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Tri-City Christian 3.1, El Camino 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
El Camino will be up against a hot Tri-City Christian squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Tri-City Christian walked away with a 7-4 win over University City on Thursday. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Michaela Berardini tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Logan Valdivia, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Abby Lisak was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Tri-City Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as University City only posted a batting average of .276.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when El Camino challenged Elsinore on Monday. El Camino fell just short of Elsinore by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by just one run.
Kailey Dain made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Makayla Boone, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Tri-City Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for El Camino, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
Both Tri-City Christian and El Camino just can't seem to miss. Tri-City Christian has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. However, it's not like El Camino struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tri-City Christian couldn't quite finish off El Camino in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 11-9. Will Tri-City Christian have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
