The Trinity Collegiate Titans lost against the Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Trinity Collegiate's rough 48-23 loss to Laurence Manning Academy might stick with them for a while. Trinity Collegiate was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-7.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Courtlyn Brunson, who picked up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown. Brunson's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.
Trinity Collegiate's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-2 Porter-Gaud and 7-2 Hammond (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 74% over those games). As for Laurence Manning Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Trinity Collegiate will head out on the road to face off against Hammond at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hammond is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. As for Laurence Manning Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Heathwood Hall Episcopal at 7:30 p.m.
