After flying high against Florence last Friday, Blanco came back down to earth. The Blanco Panthers lost 38-14 to the Llano Yellowjackets on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-19 back in January.

Despite the loss, Blanco saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ashton Uballe posted seven points. Uballe has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Kinley Boyd was another key player, putting up seven points.
Llano's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amelia Robinson, who had 16 points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Kuykendall, who scored ten points.
Blanco's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-24. As for Llano, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.
Blanco will square off against Wall at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Wall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Blanco likes a good challenge. Llano does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
