Jackson and Adrian are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Jackson Vikings will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Adrian Maples at 7:00 p.m.
On Friday, Jackson came up short against Chelsea and fell 63-50. While losing is never fun, Jackson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Chelsea is ranked 33rd).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Darrion Weller, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cyron Stamper, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Adrian strolled past Ypsilanti with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 65-48.
Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Adrian, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.
