The Sierra Pacific Golden Bears had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against McFarland as Sierra Pacific made off with a 67-43 victory. The result was nothing new for Sierra Pacific, who have now won three games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Sierra Pacific got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Owen Parry out in front who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Parry scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landyn Haener, who scored 13 points along with five assists.
Sierra Pacific is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for McFarland, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2.
Sierra Pacific and Corcoran will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Corcoran is ranked 542nd, while Sierra Pacific is ranked 555th). McFarland will be home for the holidays to greet Lindsay at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
