Bamberg-Ehrhardt can attribute much of their success to Jabari Graham, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Graham a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Bill Breeland, who put up eight points and four steals.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Denmark-Olar on Friday. They walked away with a 54-45 win over Ridgeland. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Ridgeland are ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt better keep an eye on Joshua Goodman. He was instrumental in Denmark-Olar's win, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 14 rebounds. Goodman has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Robert Bovain, who scored four points and 12 rebounds.
Denmark-Olar pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, their record now sits at 11-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Bamberg-Ehrhardt has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Denmark-Olar struggles in that department as they've been averaging 41.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt ended up a good deal behind Denmark-Olar in their previous meeting two weeks ago, losing 57-43. Can Bamberg-Ehrhardt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
