Wilmington Christian Academy extended their winning streak  to five  on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 9-13 in the process. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Faith Christian, sneaking past  13-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory Wilmington Christian Academy has posted  since April 3rd.
As for Faith Christian, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 19-6. The pitching woes were  uncharacteristic for they, who until this  game were averaging 3.96  runs allowed.
For Faith Christian's part,  Ashton Lascallette was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He  pitched 3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. That's the first time  Lascallette hasn't allowed a single  hit since April 1st. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Michael Tyler was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with one  home run. That  home run was  his first of the season.  Dylan Morgan was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  run.
 Looking ahead, Wilmington Christian Academy will take on Harrells Christian Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Faith Christian, they will host Rocky Mount Academy  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Patriots are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
