Brandon Flores and Dillon Milton provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Pioneer. The connection went for 81 yards, the longest such play in Tri-County Conference this season.
Inderkum added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Natomas, 71-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
C. J. Spencer threw for 137 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Flores was a passing and rushing force as Woodland topped the Patriots. He completed 5 passes for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 69 yards.
Joaquin Naranjo was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Wolves bested Pioneer. He forced 1 fumble and racked up 1 sack.
Milton was the best receiver in the league this week as Woodland topped Dave Collinsworth's team. Milton racked up 1 reception for 81 yards. Tanner Fellows helped Woodland's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 41 yards.
Inderkum's Spencer and Khalil Hudson have formed a dream team this season, leading Tri-County Conference in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Spencer has thrown for 1,183 yards this season, while Hudson has 27 catches for 583 yards. River Valley's TJ Dove leads the league in rushing yards with 1,555.
Bert Salinas' team moved up to 607 from 636 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wolves were able to move up by defeating the Patriots 41-14.
