The match was a 24-24 toss-up at halftime, but Synergy Magnet K12 was outscored by Calvary Chapel Academy in the second.
It was another big night for Kaleb Steiger, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds for Calvary Chapel Academy. That makes it four consecutive games in which Steiger has scored at least a third of Calvary Chapel Academy's points. Ethan Harvath was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Synergy Magnet K12's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
Synergy Magnet K12's road trip will continue as they head out to face Brevard Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Calvary Chapel Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Merritt Island Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Merritt Island Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Saturday.
