The game between Thomasville and Bainbridge wasn't particularly close, with Thomasville falling 57-40. Thomasville lost against Bainbridge in their previous head to head back in November, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 50-37 score last time.
Thomasville's loss came despite strong showings from Kennedy Hayes and Jakayla Garland. Hayes scored 12 points along with 8 steals, while Garland scored 8 points.
Z'riah Solomon was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jinasia Barnes, who scored 9 points along with 4 blocks.
Thomasville's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bainbridge, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Thomasville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cairo at 6:00 a.m. on December 19th. As for Bainbridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Colquitt County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colquitt County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bainbridge in Georgia (Colquitt County is ranked 49th, while Bainbridge is ranked 224th).
