Word of Life Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Word of Life Christian Academy is ranked highly in their home state, and two weeks ago they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Beaver Dam. Word of Life Christian Academy received a tough blow as they fell 22-6 to Beaver Dam.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Laughlin, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. Their tough 42-20 defeat to Beaver Dam on Friday might stick with them for a while.
Adrian Drake put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 171 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Word of Life Christian Academy's loss was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-2 Pahranagat Valley and 9-3 Spring Mountain (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 55.6% over those games). As for Laughlin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
