While Walnut put up some  runs on Friday, the same  can't be said for Hickory Flat. The Walnut Wildcats were the clear victor by  a  10-0 margin over the Hickory Flat Rebels. The  win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won seven in a row.
 Brittan Dawkins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Dawkins was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. She has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Brailee Quinn, who  scored three  runs and  stole  Three bases. while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Allie Jackson, who  scored a  run and  stole  Four bases. while going 1-for-1.
 Walnut  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hickory Flat only posted  an  OBP of  .125.
The  victory  got Walnut back to even at 3-3. As for Hickory Flat, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the  defeat, which was their seventh straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walnut will host Smithville  at 5:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Walnut is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2  runs per game  this season. Hickory Flat will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ingomar at 5:30  p.m.  on March 18th.
