Northland Christian won the last time they faced the Norborne Pirates, and things went their way on Thursday too. Northland Christian took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 61-21 victory over the Pirates. The win made it back-to-back wins for Northland Christian.
Norborne's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zach Deitch, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kottin McClure, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
The win got Northland Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Norborne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
Northland Christian will be playing at home against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kansas City East Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully the like a good challenge. As for Norborne, they will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Southwest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Wednesday.
