Fowler is 10-0 against Swallows Charter Academy since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Fowler Grizzlies will head out on the road to face off against the Swallows Charter Academy Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Fowler focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Thursday.
Fowler took care of business in their home opener. They strolled past Evangel Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 53-39.
Fowler's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dominic Armijo led the charge by scoring 12 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cael True, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Swallows Charter Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Swink. Swallows Charter Academy has not had much luck with Swink recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Fowler's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Swallows Charter Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Everything came up roses for Fowler against Swallows Charter Academy in their previous matchup back in February as the team secured a 58-17 win. Will Fowler repeat their success, or does Swallows Charter Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
