The McCall-Donnelly Vandals will be playing at home against the Homedale Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After a string of seven wins, McCall-Donnelly's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 49-41 to Fruitland.
McCall-Donnelly's defeat came about despite a quality game from Gabi Green, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Green has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Tinney, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Homedale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 53-25 loss at the hands of Parma. While losing is never fun, Homedale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Parma is ranked 30th).
McCall-Donnelly's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Homedale, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
McCall-Donnelly strolled past Homedale in their previous meeting on January 9th by a score of 52-33. Does McCall-Donnelly have another victory up their sleeve, or will Homedale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
