The Riverside Ram entered their tilt with the Briar Woods Falcons with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went Riverside's way against the Falcons on Thursday as the Ram made off with a 80-57 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Riverside was led to victory by Max Lawson and Shane Crissman. Lawson scored 19 points along with five assists and three steals, while Crissman went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 0 assists. Crissman is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mason Ridgeway, who scored nine points.
When it comes to explaining why Briar Woods lost, one person who can't be blamed is Colton Auch. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Auch continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Kaden Miles was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Riverside is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Briar Woods, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.
Riverside and the will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Independence focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday. As for Briar Woods, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. Stone Bridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully the Falcons likes a good challenge.
