John F. Kennedy Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Darney led the charge by scoring 21 points. Another player making a difference was Didi Ryan, who scored 12 points along with six steals.
Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast will take on Cardinal Mooney at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lowellville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 622nd, while John F. Kennedy Catholic is ranked 166th).
