Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jack Clark, who scored 12 points. The game was Clark's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Oliver Oglesby, who scored ten points.
Doniphan-Trumbull was led to victory by Parker Volk and Jack Poppe. Volk scored 18 points along with five rebounds, while Poppe scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That's the first time this season that Volk scored 15 or more points. Jaden Williams was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Sandy Creek's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1. As for Doniphan-Trumbull, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.
