If The Immanuel Eagles were feeling good off their 29-0 takedown of the Hanford West Huskies last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Immanuel ended up on the wrong side of a tough 33-13 walloping at the hands of Central Valley Christian on Friday. Immanuel has struggled against Central Valley Christian recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Although Immanuel took the loss, they still got scores from Jake Horn and Shane Spomer.
Immanuel's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Central Valley Christian, their victory was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 9-1.
Immanuel will face off against Torres at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Torres knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Immanuel likes a good challenge. As for Central Valley Christian, they will be playing at home against Stockdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stockdale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while Central Valley Christian is ranked 95th).
